The gens with Luminor 1950 caseset have about 17,8mm
All my KW reps with Luminor 1950 caseset have from 18,2 to 18,4 mm
We are talking about 0,4-0,5mm of difference. This is less 2,5% of thickness difference. Obviously the main difference is concentrated in the caseback
It is almost impossible for the human eye to tell this difference in the wrist. Only an experimented and warned observer could see the difference in the hand.
No worries about the thickness for regular users
Anyway there will be some picky owners which will be able to notice the difference and will not able to live with it.

Note: The new Luminor 1950 cases 2016 which are thinner than the old ones (about 15,65mm) have reps with about 17,24mm of thickness. That is a difference of more 1,5mm, more four times the difference of old cases. However, we are still considering than 1,5mm is a small difference to be noticed.
