Love the Bronzo... I just wish the Case and Caseback were to spec like the gen. The thickness is a quick easy tell. Love the Patina it got from your vacation. Cheers

voxx: bought the strap from MaturLeathercraft /Chile. Originally it was a bit darker. I prepared it so that it looks more distressed.
The buckle was not included.

interesting about the thickness... I thought that the case was the same thickness as the gen.... what is the actual difference in thickness ?
thanks

Ive held a real bronze on several occasions. The Rep case is a few centimeters thicker then the gen and same goes for the case back being too thick and sitting very high on the wrist. Even the Pam305 is the same way. The Gen has a "Flush" look on the wrist. If you ever gt a chance to try one on you would know. Or maybe you have and might of looked past that detail. Cheers

I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure you are wrong. Never held the gen but specs says gen is 17.7mm while on all TD sites it's 17.5mm which I suppose means it's the same thickness as a gen.
I also never seen anyone mentioning difference in thickness on these models (382, 305, 571...) and there is also no point to make it thicker since all of the other P.9001 watches are correct in that area.

The Thickness is sooooo easy to spot when holding a gen. Its a huge difference. the casebook as well is thicker.

I´m here for the patina - and it developped beautifully, some great shots, thanks for sharing:)
About the thickness: it could be the caseback itself is thicker or gives the illusion, the caseset to me always looked very close and the same thickness.
There was a thread by Ale with a rep vs gen comparison but the pics are gone now, no mention of it being thicker as I recall.

Maybe @ALE7575 can join here to confirm this.

The gens with Luminor 1950 caseset have about 17,8mm
All my KW reps with Luminor 1950 caseset have from 18,2 to 18,4 mm

We are talking about 0,4-0,5mm of difference. This is less 2,5% of thickness difference. Obviously the main difference is concentrated in the caseback
It is almost impossible for the human eye to tell this difference in the wrist. Only an experimented and warned observer could see the difference in the hand.

No worries about the thickness for regular users
Anyway there will be some picky owners which will be able to notice the difference and will not able to live with it.

ALE

Note: The new Luminor 1950 cases 2016 which are thinner than the old ones (about 15,65mm) have reps with about 17,24mm of thickness. That is a difference of more 1,5mm, more four times the difference of old cases. However, we are still considering than 1,5mm is a small difference to be noticed.

I held my 571 up to a Gen 305 and a 382 back in May. After being in the forum for over a year and looking at Reps daily the Gen is soooo obvious to my eye. Just wanted to put that out there.

OK
As I said, you are one of the fortunate (??) men able to realise the difference

I am also blessed with this gift/curse ... I can spot a fake pair of Yeezy Boosts from across the street just by the thickness of the laces.

It keeps me awake at night sometimes ...
