My brand new PAM111!... is too small

I swear, I didn't know my wrists were this massive.

I received my PAM111 from Toro this morning. (They got the asso strap but forgot the rubber strap, and are *promptly* sending it to me. Took 5 minutes of email. I'm really impressed by their communication!) It's smaller than I was expected, but I showed it to 3 of my coworkers, and they all thought it was huge. Tried it on all of them, and they each were able to put it on the 4th or 5th hole. But it's super tight on me, on just the 1st hole.

What are my options? Is the rubber strap bigger? Can I stretch out the asso strap at all? Or do I just need to buy a custom strap that's a lot longer?

Also, and PLEASE be honest with me... do you think it looks too small on my wrist? I'm not intending on this being my first rep ever, I'll just make sure the next one I get is a full centimeter larger.

Looks good on the wrist, but you def need a longer strap! There are many strapmakers here that can help you :)
And for your next rep you can try a 47 mm PAM, you sure can pull it off ;)

Exactly what I was going to say. Looks great on your wrist but standard PAM straps are too short for many people. There is rep XL asso but like Kilowattore said, I would get nice custom strap. And for that 47mm PAM I would suggest you 372or 127 if you can find one. ;)

Thanks! I took 3 months of browsing RWI before taking the plunge on the watch. Let's see how long it takes to pick a strap and strapmaker...

I actually feel pretty good knowing I can pull off wearing a bigger watch, and it won't look gaudy on my wrist. I'm a bit confused on the measurement system though. The PAM111 is 44mm, correct? 47mm seems like a very minor step up. I just don't have a place locally I can try different sizes out, I'm too far from any major cities, so this is all guesswork.

Just buy a new strap and you'll be fine. Ask for longer rubber if available and not sent to you already. Regular rubber is going to be too short. For the new strap...just check the bakekas section good prices and good quality. But of course there are others as well.

111 is 44mm, it's correct but upgrading on 47mm is quite big difference IMO. 44 wears just perfect on my 7,1'' wrist and 47 is max I can go. Here is comparison between my 243 and 372 on the wrist so take a look considering that 243 wears bigger than 111 although it's also 44mm (don't have 111 with me right now to make comparison). Sorry for bad pictures, can't do better right now. :/

Thanks for your wrist measurement. I'll have to find a tape measure so I know exactly what length strap I need, and comparing against your pictures will help!

I don't think that the 111 looks too small for your wrist. It looks pretty good. However, you will need to get a larger strap. There are some dealers who offer longer sizes. There is also custom strap makers, who can advise and get you a strap that suit you.

Btw, an easy way to get your wrist measurement, is to wrap a piece of string or thread around your wrist and then measure against a printed out ruler. Most everyone has these items in their house, while not all may have a fabric ruler.

No problem bud, I'm glad if I can help. Share some pics of your PAM with new shoes when you get them. ;)

Just to chime in... I agree with everyone else :)

It doesnt look too small on you, I would say its a pretty spot on size for you.

The 47mm case, while only being 3mm difference, is a big step up. You'd pull it off no problem, but its beyond 'Ive got big wrists, so I need a big watch' - its a real style/statement, not just a watch for big people. And some wear much bigger that others, I think a Fiddy looks right if you dress accordingly, but you'd have to be Shaq before a Bronzo would look like a normal everyday watch on you :)

Obviously you need a longer strap, but that's the next step for you anyway - 'Ok, Ive got a PAM, now... strap shopping!' :)

ps - if you want to go a bit bigger, maybe try a 45mm rad, or personally I recommend the Omega 45.5mm CrPO's (but Im not sure I can say that in here - shhh, dont tell anyone :) )

Hi, definitely looks good but needs an xl or xxl strap. and +1 on a 47mm. Before investing heavily in straps check out the sizes, specially when intending to go for a 47mm otherwise it´s another (fun) moneypit. Panatime and watchbandcenter.com have a good selection of not custom-made but not over the top priced nice straps for trying out and immediate shipping. Besides PAMs the IWC Cousteau Divers wears big. And You always have the Egiziano options up to 60mm:) waiting for a 47mm Mini-Egi to arrive.

To check the wrist-size and strap-size try this from one of the forum strapmakers (printable wrist measurer..scroll down): http://migliorestraps.com/Order.html

Here's another size comparison for you, between a 196 (on bracelet) and a 127 (47mm "Fiddy")

The 196 def wears bigger than a 111, and you can still see the big jump to the 47mm Fiddy...

Looks great. Just get a bigger strap.... Also, the 45 omega PO would be good for you.
