My AP Purchase From Toro - Experience

My first rep purchase after lots of research, reading lots of posts, looking at pics, learning versions and differences and some help from Sharrkey & SoBlack.

I'm not mudslinging and don't wish to stir, I'm only giving my experience so I hope there's no trouble. I've mailed and contacted 4 other TD's who have not yet responded (been some days for some) and also found out by another TD that very few accept paypal due to various and legitimate reasons (this is true)

After a suggestion from Sharrkey (thank you) I got in touch with Toro a few hours ago who replied within an hour with full details, answering my questions easily.

I ordered the AP Diver and paid. Almost immediately as per my request Toro sent the QCs and Toro has always been communicating with me and happy to answer any questions.

My tips to anyone that's new: (I'm new too)

Research what you're buying before hand, there's loads of information on here about versions, movements, what's good and what's not and who to buy from and who not. Educate yourself.

Look up the piece you're wanting and make sure you're definitely wanting that as you don't want to waste your time and the sellers time.

Be calm, patient and don't lose your shit. I didn't do this but remember what you're dealing with and remember the rules of the forum. Reading and educating yourself before hand will make the process as easy as those who have been buying for a long time.

When in doubt, ask as there are loads of knowledgeable members here but again, do you research and read before.

Great to hear, and yes, it's the right thing to do, read, search, read more, learn, and only then, when you know everything you need to know about your rep choice, you can pull the trigger with the TD of your choice

I have made a few inquiries to different dealers recently and I have to say Toro was easily the most responsive and had the best English.
Regrettably I doubt I will be making the purchase with him but he's definitely stood out from the crowd and I won't hesitate to contact him in future.

Dont want to hijack the thread but i just got my AP Roo V3.5 from Toro. He shipped it March 7 and i got it today March 12th in USA. Fastest shipping yet and best quality rep i have ever seen. Toro always responds to emails very quickly and is a great seller, always good experience.

Toro provided me with a tracking number. Just an update. I know it's not his fault but the package seems to be stuck with DHL in Hong Kong (no updates from DHL) as "shipping information received" - No updates from them since Tuesday. Let's hope DHL get into gear and my rep comes soon. Getting a little worried

Yea. Toro mentioned there's a delay because of this. It's been a week with no status change in the order on the DHL site (package hasn't been collected yet) and I'm getting a little concerned. Paid for the DHL but still waiting...

I know he'll take care of me. Toro has been very good with communication and service.

Just so excited so I'm naturally impatient but I do understand the issues at the moment

Toro contacted me some days back saying there are some problems with DHL but he will sort me out and take care of me.

Guess what he did I noticed he used another courier instead of DHL but the point is, it's here. Toro took care of me and I can report a brilliant experience.

Great communication from Toro all the time, good QC process, the watch came here and the two screws which are slightly off is not even noticeable. Again for those using the QC process remember to read my links in the first thread. Use it if there's a genuine concern about something in particular, not take a look and tell me...

If you're happy with it, take it. The TDs will take care of you. Also a thank you to Sora as well.

Toro will definitely get more business from me it's a quality piece and everything works and its a weighty piece, very close to gen. Anyone who wants an AP Diver v3.5 speak to Toro or Sora

When you ordered, did you mention the QC pics in the note. I know some TDs don't send unless you request QC. Try sending him another email. Perhaps with your order number and a new subject - I'm sure he'll respond. Toro is very busy I know but does respond.



One thing I can say is the Diver v3.5 is beautiful and just wow. Great service from Toro despite the hiccup by DHL which was the fault of all these checks happening in the country which held things up. Not Toro's fault
