My 286 badly scratched.

I recently received a new PAM286 for PureTime. After seeing the QC pics I thought all looked well. There was a line through the writing on the case back but, having never seen this watch before, I assumed this was some sort of strike-thru effect.
After receiving the watch I realized that this was a flaw. I've tried contacting them but no reply yet. Hopefully they'll be able to send me a new case back.
On a separate note - this watch also stopped running on New Years Eve. The next morning I pulled off the case back to find a loose screw preventing the Balance Wheel from spinning.
I'm relatively new here but this is by far my worst purchase. I actually love the watch though....:culpability:

Makes you wonder why they would even try and sell it to someone :(

I don't see the strike through line on the writing. It looks to me like there is a clear protector film still on the caseback from the photo. Do you have another photo of the strike through line?

The fact the circle line is off centre, it does appear to be a sticker, but surely that would have been checked.... :)

Boy, do I feel like a dumb ass :-*
You guys are right. It's the f#*king sticker. Well, I'm glad you could get a good laugh from a newb. The glass on the case back is much clearer now.
The watch really did have a screw stuck. I don't think I imagined that ;-)

2.5 diamond paste should get that sticker off. Haha.

Thanks for posting! I'm sure the amount of people who have done this exact thing or worse is staggering...cut their strap opening the box, carve up the watch by not using teh right screwdriver, etc...

I think the sticker is really off-centre. You should mail it back.

I mucked up the date wheel of a watch with some superglue, and I cannot
wear that watch on the 3rd, 14th, 22nd or the 29th.

In my defense, this is the first rep I've purchased with a clear case back. I'm used to seeing the blue line on the sticker. This really did look like a scratch. To add insult to hurt ego, I even emailed Puretime and asked if they could replace the case back. I had to email them back and tell them it was my mistake. Oh well, live and learn. They probably got a good laugh as well.
