I thought I would take some time to let people know what I think about my Panerai 212 after one month of ownership. I know you will ask so I will tell you this first - I got it from Angus (Puretime). For the newbies don't look for him here look at TRC or Watch trader.

I was first interested in this piece when I say it at paneri.com in the news section. Then my local AD sent me a photo in the mail as I am on their mailing list because I bought my wife's diamond there. I fell for this watch right away as did many others.

I was stoked to see it come up as a rep very soon and I jumped right away even thought the CG was wrong on the first model.

As you can see in the post "my babies" I have others but this is the watch that I go to first now. I have been trying to figure out why. I now feel it is because of the case. This case is beautiful. I don't have a fiddy yet - but it is comming soon. So I don't know if the 47mm version of the case is as nice as this. The case looks like it is carved out of a soilid block of metal (oh yeah, it is). I also love that the case sits a little higher off the wrist as it has a deep display back. I don't spend time looking at the movement but I do like the display back as it work so well with this case.

So for those of you would like to buy your first Panerai this is a great model. I would sugest that you get the correct CG version and if you can afford it go for the 7753 movt. Mine is the 7750 and is seems ok so far.

Here are some crapy photos to show why I love this watch.

Yes my spelling sucks....

Man that is a THICK case.

Watch looks very good though. I may have to consider this one in the future.

Not only that...I think the leather band looks thick also.

I got mine 4 weeks ago. 7750 movement stopped working after 3,5 weeks. Sent to to get serviced and fixed. It is a really nice looking rep, the most and probably only annoying thing about it is that the font color is way too white, it's lacking the green luminova look other reps have, this makes it look pretty fake.

I actualy like the white. I prefer it to the light green from the lume.
