Hey guys!
I've been reading the threads and I wanna know if anyone compared an asian movement in replicas, for example Pam111 to the gen movement in Pam111 under the microscope. I mean not the differences in the Incabloc system or the Swan neck shape, but the differences in the quality of refinement of the parts like wheels and stuff. How big is the difference between the quality of polishing the parts? How different are the wheels in rep compared to the wheels in gens in terms of production?

The differences are obvious to the trained eye, but when just glancing at the movements for the first time the variations are not so obvious. Things to look for
-screws on wheels are flattened on gen.
-Polishinf and beveling can be nice on reps, but gen is just a higher more consistent spec (with some exceptions)
-cotes de Geneve finish is far better on gen
-lettering is better
