Having a look on some gen pics over there on paneristi I just recognized that the serial numbers of at least 3 models don`t match with the movement generation.

The case back clearly shows an E-Series engraving on these models: Pam 111, Pam 113, Pam 118
But the movements are G-Series...

Here the pic of the 118, it was produced in 2002-2003 (E-F Series):

Can somebody explaine? I`m confused...

If I`m right its more clear to say OP I, OPII, OPX, OPXI then E, G, H-Series movement, no?

Cheers

Not an expert but will try...

The movement on the photo is also known as OPX / OPXI (depending on Base or Marina model designation) and it was introduced in 2002 as E-Series mov't on all Panerai Hystoric models. It was superceeded by H-series mov't in 2005 (also the same Panerai mov't naming standard - OPX /OPXI).

The movement above thus belongs to E,F and G series, so the photo shows correct config. :)

cheers,

Thanks Babola, now it`s a little more transparent for me... :)

Do you know if the Pre-Vendome models had engraved movements, or did Vendome start "branding" them?

The 5218-202 for example.
