Sorry I may have posted this on the wrong section before, forgive me I am new here.

So I need to try and repair the watch given to me by my late grandfather and I need to identify the movement inside. I have put on some pictures to help below and there is a stamp of some kind of logo

I'm guessing people on here might have most experience to enlighten me to what it is?

That's a Dixmont-Guangzhou 2813 (known also as a '21J'). It'll be easier/cheaper to replace it with a brand new DG 2813 than trying to repair it

Ebay or Cousins.UK carry those. For the dial and hands it´s a straight swap, crown and stem should fit. Only more tricky part would be a date wheel overlay swap if it´s needed (different font of the datewheel).

That´s a bummer. The new movement will have one included but probably it´s best to get another couple spares together with it.

Thank very much, last question. I'm sorry if I have called it the wrong thing but can I get a new dial face? Some lume has come off the time indicators on the face or is it cheaper to re lume them?

Thanks for responses guys, ordered a new winder for that movement. Well, a couple winders just In case! If it wasn't for your help my Grandads rep wouldn't ever work again! Cheers grandad! [emoji13]
