Movement stuck

Gents,

I have a Pam 111 rep with the 6497 asian movement. The watch is wound, but will not tick / operate. What is funny is that when I push/put pressure on the bridge directly under the balance wheel, the movement starts working. WHen I take the pressure off the bridge, the watch stops.

Any ideas or remedys reccomended?

Maybe check to see if the balance is hanging up on the bridge, or even bent a little and insure that the balance bridge is seated properly with the screw in place.

BUMP it up for Francisco or Katt.

Does it tick and stop in the exact same place, if so it might have a missing tooth on one of the wheels.

My first 6497 did the same thing. One of the screws on the bridge was loose. After tightening it, the movement worked fine. Have you tried that?
