I took the caseback off my 000 and noticed there was an ETA logo under the balance wheel, and on my 111H there is not...... Does this mean the 000 could be swiss?

An ETA 000, ummmmm......no.

Unless someone switched in an ETA movement in the watch you bought. All reps come standard with panerai looking bridges. The swiss 6497 look like this. You can see the ETA logo under the balance wheel.

Now if the movement in your looks like this you own a modded piece! ;)

If it doesn't.....you have an abomination.

No, the movement is the newer 6497 and it has the same ETA logo under the balance wheel

This is the movement but I cannot capture a pic of the ETA logo under the balance wheel.... Cannot seem to get close enough.

With an ETA stamp under the balance wheel though?

My 111H has virtually the same movement just without the ETA stamp...

Could be an Eta plate with chinese parts since they are mostly interchangable.

Also , I think they have learned to produce an Eta stamp by now. Probably a hybrid at best : )

Well I tried but can't get a good enough pic of the ETA stamp. My camera sucks and I have no mag glass.

Also, The movement isn't being held in place because a movement tab is missing. The watch only works when face down. Could this be caused by the balance wheel coming in contact with the caseback when right side up?

I would pull the movement out and leave it set up for a day and see if it stays running. I would either throw it in a clear movement holder or cover with wax paper to keep dust out.

Helloooooo daytona. It's good to see you around here and nice to know that we still have some of the 06er's hanging around. Funny how many of the questions regarding movements are just recurring themes, some things never change : )
