Movement problem on Black Bay

So I got a regular black back with the red bezel and the 2824 a while back and noticed that the movement was stopping randomly. I didn't want to send the watch back to the TD so I just let it be and recently I came across some new Selita SW200 movements. I decided to fix up the BB and did a movement swap. Things when great and I tested the timing on the bench with the watch uncased and on the timergraph and everything was perfect. When I cased the movement and wore the watch i noticed it was also stopping randomly. I uncased it again and it worked perfectly on the bench. I then test the A2824 that came with the watch and it also worked great when uncased and on the bench. Any ideas on what could be causing this. I think i might be something with the case lock down tabs.

Thanks

are the hands touching the underside of the crystal? Does it always stop at the same time?

Maybe your new movement has got a different cannon pinion height. So it‘s possible that your hands are not running freely because of crystal touch.
Or you did not press the hands deep enough onto the pinions.

I had that issue when I had my B.B. as well. Try loosening the movement tab screws. As someone said earlier, it’s a high probability that the seconds hand gets stuck on the crystal. It’s exactly what happened with me.

I'm no thinking that yes the second hand is hitting the crystal and that was also the problem with the original A2824 movement. I tried to press the second hand lower but its already all the way down. How should i fix this problem. Press the crystal out further or but some kinda spacer in before inserting the dial/movement assembly into the case?

thanks

Did you make sure to install this when you seated the dial?

If it is actually an issue of the seconds hand touching the crystal, you might be able to get away with angling the second hand downward slightly with a hand presser (i.e., gently lean the presser against the center of the second hand such that the tip of the second hand moves closer to the dial). Not so much that the second hand touches the minute hand, but enough to clear the crystal. You have to be close if it's only getting hung up on one spot.

Messing with the crystal is probably the wrong way to go about fixing this--you'll only run into water resistance issues.

Realigned the second hand and it fixed everything. Thanks for the help.
