I have a poorly-functioning oyster perpetual date that one of the great TDs sent to tinker with. Is there a way to ID a low-cost generic movement? I'll pull the movement around the holiday break, but am not really set up to do any disassembly (yet). While I do want to get the gear to disassemble one of these, I thought I might try to find costs of a basic replacement movement before I tear into it. My biggest issue is figuring out "what" type to order for the watch? If anyone has input on what I'm looking for or where I should look, I'd appreciate it.

Post a pic of the movement that's currently inside to make the right choice. Hands need to fit.

Hmm, don't know that these pics will count as "high res", about as good as I could get with an old cell phone. The TD is USA In Stock, there's no factory info in particular with the watches, she specializes in "entry level" stock. It may simply be too low end to have a named movement.

Yikes, those look terrible. Can't figure out how to edit post to delete the first one. Here's a new attempt with more light...

Looks like some variant of the DG2813, the Nanning version I think. I suggest getting an Asian 2836 from AlieX, ebay etc and a new set of hands from Raffles Time.
