Relatively new to the watch hobby. I have a quartz Breitling Navitimer that keeps great time and a Louis Vuitton 7750 that runs about 5 minutes fast per day. I am looking to expand my collection with reliable carefree watches. Which movement is the most reliable?? From my very brief experience it looks like quartz is the way to go. I know it's not the most authentic... but it seems to be the most trouble free. Any thoughts???
Thanks.

Eta: 2801-2824-2834-2836

Eta 6497- Asian 6497 copy

DG 2813

Seagull ST-18

Seagull ST6D in the ladies Datejust and one quartz movement in a Cartier La Dona.

...some Eta clones and a couple that seem to be hybrids of some sort with a mixture of parts LOL.

These are the auto movements in the reps I have. So far they have all been most "reliable" and "carefree."

It probably depends on who puts the watch together; 21J can be care-free when a guy like Fakey is behind the project. I have worn his Matte PVD Fakemariner during PT, marches, hot, cold,... no problem (and 21J is not going to cost you your first son!).

I use both the 21J and the Seagull. If serviced and maintained properly they are almost bulletproof. In Quartz it would be anything Miyota.
