Most correct Breitling Navtimer Series Speciale ?

Hey,

on my search for the most Navi SS... I saw several versions...

the new 28.8kvph version has these flaws:
not correct sliderule
silver subdial hands
Messerschmitt spelled wrong


the old version(21kvph)... is more correct but it has the shitty movement, but here it can be easily replaced, right?

which leather straps are currently available?

FYI, the silver subdial hands aren't necessarily a flaw as I found a genuine with silver hands as shown in this thread:

The old 21k version is a straight swap for the ETA 7750, no new hands or anything needed. That being said, I've seen posts saying the last 21k's to come out did not seem to have the problems of the earlier ones....but that could or could not be true.

The misspelling will probably always be there....if someone ever spots it on mine, they can have the watch.

The new leather straps with the tang style came out with the chrono evolution and are quite good I hear. The new croc style deployment straps you have seen on mine already. Also you can keep an eye out on timezone and eBay for genuine straps...I saw a gen go for $40 on timezone a couple weeks ago.

Trevor sells the new black croc deployant with his navi if you ask. It is in his photobucket album also to order it by number. I would recommend that. If you don't want the croc look, then I would get the chrono evo or steelfish calf straps. Josh's site shows every different color, and pretty much anyone can get them for you. Go to the Breitling section of Josh's site and click on "price" to organize everything by ascending price, that will list all the straps in a row. Just make sure you get the 22mm one.

Well then you made your choice my friend...the tang leather is it.

FYI, Ruby and Trevor have the deployant for way under $65. Josh's site is just easiest to refer to.
