I am the proud owner of the infamous Pam 192 that lost its "tachy" marking to the Oxy-Clean because the guy forgot to remove the ring...
Well...I was in my local "Dollar General" store yesterday, and i saw this:

Hmmm...Knock off Oxy-Clean...for a buck, why not!!!
So I took my spare Ti Caseback(off the 192), and cleaned it up with a "tuffy pad" and some soap to look like this:

Then I cooked for @15 minutes in a solution of 1 cup (8oz) of water, and 3 scoops of the "stuff", and got this:

I then cleaned it up to look like this:

Seems to impart a bronze like finish...Kind of almost "SLOB" like...Hmmmmm...
I bet my 036 would look sweet that color!!!

Holy Cow your watch is turning orange. Cook it for another hour and see what happens. :D

Interesting, but what happens if you use a metal polish such as Flitz or MAAS? Or, perhaps any type of metal polish? I can't believe that finish is "forever."

And if I dunk my watch in grape juice it will turn purple.

Sorry for the sarcasm but I couldn't resist. Are you going for a vintage look of some kind?

It looks kinda...well...Rusty! Wear it for a while, and see if your wrist turns orange.

What you have done is...

Build up a beautiful layer of Titanium Dioxide on the surface of the Ti

Do not let the negetive comments discourage you. It is all about experimentation, and that is part of fun. You are just one step short. Take a piece of foil, lay it flat than put a drop of WD40 or other light oil on the foil. Than using figer tip (or a cotton swab for tite spots) rub VERY VERY little oil all over the complete surface of the Ti & rub it dry. This will even out the finish. The result is amazing. I have done this to my 2 Gen Ti Pams. You will get a PVD type look (very dark matte grey or medium dark matte grey, depending on the grade of Ti used).
