Moonie movement

Hey guys,

What do you think about this watch class to be used as donor for moonie movement?

its a cheap SLAVA clone( Cjiaba) watch from bay

But spacings look kinda ok?

this particular one even don't try to hide its roots to moonie

Thats a $30 movement and will have the same sub-dial spacing issues as any other rep movement as well as not even having functioning chrono. You'd be better off buying a quartz version.

I though this one have better sub dial spacing, it definitely looks much closer to center than on tractor.

That is a 21j with faux crono's.
I feel safe to say, we (reppin veterans) have been trying to find something, movement wize, to fix that subdial issue. We aint found one yet...not since I have been around these boards anyway. If there was a substitute you would have read ALL about it.

The only perfect donor is called lemania 873/1873 and prepare to spent some serious $!

If you want something to look close to the real thing though, a21j and quartz movement is a solution...

Cause there aren't many things you can do with the moonie to be honest...

If you really love the Speedmaster, then bite the bullet and start saving. Myself and many others have modded reps in an attempt to be happy, but it just doesn't work. Do yourself a favor and accept defeat on this one. A bunch of us here have the gen!

I spent a lot of time on the ofrei website today. I was not focusing on Omega, but did see that they have the movment, case, dial and hands. I think you could make your own moonie from gen parts for $2500.
