I thought white was a gen color too but I don't see these on the Panerai website.

White is a gen color. Bought mine from the Panerai Boutique in Miami.

Thank you for confirming. I'm looking to try a 984 so your picture is very helpful to show that combination. It looks great!

If you have taken it to the beach have you had any orange stains happen on your strap from sunscreen? Or blue stains from brushing against jeans? These are two common problems with some white rubber straps. I am wondering if the PAM straps or Rubber B white straps have the same dye transfer issues.

Windex is your friend. I swim with mine and have been in the murky waters of southeast Texas with this watch and strap. No issues.

White is a gen color, however for some reason it's not listed on all P**** websites, found it on the swiss and german site.
You can order it by calling the concierge service.

Military green is also a gen color, it comes with the limited edition 961.

I have several gen straps and must admit that the white one has by far the best quality.

Yes, the white one feels so much more comfortable. Softer feeling.

You mean the white gen is better than other colored gen straps?

I've been wearing this dark blue on the 979 and now the 985. Also occasionally the 1616 and it goes so well with all of them.

I also have been saying I like the feel of it so much that I'd never go back to a rep strap. I have a few other gen straps but the blue feels better. I've been attributing it to the fit because this one is ~130/80 and it wraps more around the wrist, takes a better shape and just fits better and softer because of the length.

I'd imagine all the caoutchouc material is the same regardless of the color. I presume.

The gen straps are supposed to be the same material, but the white one I had was so soft and pliable it felt like a completely different material. More plush feeling. But the light blue, dark blue and black ones I had all felt identical in fit and finish. But that white was in a whole different class.

S.Martin same sizes? Because I have that with the dark blue but believe it feels more comfortable because it’s a more appropriate length and just longer in general.

I had an XL blue and the standard length. Same feel. I can’t explain the white. Just an overall better feeling strap. Really soft and flexible. Until you feel one, it’s very unexplainable the difference.

If the rubber on the white is softer does it pick up scuffs more?

Will the holes match up in the same spots on the standard vs. XL? I like longer length straps but my wrist fits standard.
