Hi guys, I've decided I'd like to try modding my cg to have sharper edges and a better brushed finish. On the brushed finished, not sure where to start, on the sharper eddges I was planning on just using a nail file. Has anyone tried this?
I suggest you are going to need something a heck of a lot harder tempered than a nail file. You will, after all, be filing stainless--which is bloody hard stuff. I bought a set of fine files at a tool shop and they work well. Just be very careful to keep your file flat to the work or you'll end up with a rounder edge than you began with.
