Hi all,

Just thought I'd share some quick photos of a modded 029 project. I received this 029 from M and immediately swapped a lello DW into the 2836. Of course a 2893 or 2892 would have been nice but not worth the crazy money that people are asking in resale, the 2836 is a superb movement. Winds smoothly and date clicks promptly at midnight as it should. The lello DW makes all the difference, would love to have a bigger cyclops but don't know if I'll go through the trouble especially when this sapphire so well AR treated already. May also superlume at some point, or buy the redone dial and hands from DSN, who has been my go to person lately for modding parts.

Here it is:

I have now three examples of this watch, but I think the swiss eta movement is worth the price differential given the ability to upgrade the DW, the clicking GMT functionality, the quick flip date, the AR, and the better dial, case, crown and crownguard.

Mind if I ask what the datewheel and AR cost you? I have a 29 as well which I love and was considering both upgrades as well as a new lume job.

PM me if that is more appropriate for financial stuff like this...I actually thought it would be good for the Forum to see this info though as i am sure others are contemplating similar work

L, "lello" is a user over at RWG.cc. He makes better datewheels for some of our reps...

FWIW, the 029 was only made in A and B series, so I don't believe the gens have AR. Having said that, if you like AR, go for it.
