Mod my pam312L or sell, and buy 111n

Well the title says it all. I'm trying to decide, and doing a poor job of choosing, if I should send my pam312L v2 from Puretime out for AR and relume, or sell and buy a Pam111n.

I would be Pam less for 8 weeks for mods and out a couple hundred bucks. The312 is beautiful! But even after the mods it will still have that pesky movement tell. Currently the stock AR on it drives me NUTS!!!

The 111 is great though I don't think it's quite as nice as the 312. The thing is it seems pretty much spot on! I would assume if I made the switch I could do so with limited out of pocket and limited time pamless.

I go back and forth day to day... Spend the money and time for the one, but still have large tell, or just change it out for the highly praised 111N?

As I can't decide on my own, feed back would be appreciated.

Actually, they are two very different watches.

Size of the watch, additional date function, one auto while the other hand-wound etc. How important are these to you? While the 111 is an exceptional replica, the 312 is not too bad either. I believe the main tell is the movement because the gen is a manufacture. Then again, if you have the watch on your wrist, does it matter if it is running on the 7750?

i agree with warsurfer.. one is a luminor case while the other is a 1950's case.. very different watches..

imo, i'd hold onto the 312L.. movement aside, its a nicer watch to wear.. also, i'm not too sure on what grounds does the 312 warrant a AR & Lume job.. the one i had was really good.. here's mine when i still had them, 312 V1- 219 - 111(AR&Lume modded) no real differences, honestly..

i'd say, leave the 312 as it is now&spend the money on getting another pam.. maybe the new 164 or many others..

I wouldn't mod the 312 - it's very good out of the box.

However, I would also buy the 111N because it is amazing.

(Save up a bit longer and have both!)

Really don´t need modding, lume is superb. AR is enough, like Gen.

Hey all,
I really appreciate the discussion, And feedback. I understand, and totally agree the two watches are quite different. I do enjoy the 1950s case better. Despite the differences, my my thought was if the 111N was so much of a better rep than 312 would it outweigh the slight preference to the 312.

My friend has a GEN 312 and his is deep black from almost every angle. I don't know if it's crystal quality or the ar But after some searching it seems the AR at least helps according to the link that follows. http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/pam-359-v2-100876 discussions towards the end of page suggest AR treatment.
I agree the lume looks good, but unfortunately that AR can't be done alone needs to be combined with other service as i had the movement serviced as soon as I got it I figured the lume was the way to go.

One things for sure whatever seems to be happening with the Crystal/AR is driving me crazy, almost seems to have a mirrored effect in some lighting conditions works fine.

In a perfect world I traded in on the GEN 312, unfortunately my world at least isn't perfect.

Any further discussion and guidance would greatly be appreciated. I would certainly hate to be out money and two months without my watch for no reason, then again if it would help great. At the same time if the 111n is so good and is worry free maybe it's worth just trading it over for that.

I suppose another option would be, stop being anal, and deal with it till the next version comes out.... Maybe replicated P.9000???
