I think maybe as far as reps go, the 233's linear power reserve indicator might be for the lack of recommendation.

The only rep I've seen of the 233 is TERRIBLE. the gen 233 is a great watch, however. I've held one and it's definitely one of the best watches panerai has made imo.

PAM 233 reps have no pretentions of good quality reps. Indeed have cheap (and of course inaccurate) movement, see the inaccurate date wheel/window.

Case, CG, bezel, crystal are not at the First Class level
Besides GMT is 24 hrs. instead of 12 hrs. like gen
