Mille Miglia GT XL Black Dial on Black Rubber Strap A7750

I have been lookiing into this watch for a while now.

can you please advise which open case back is the correct,
do different factories produce the expensive version(above 300 dollars)?
i though that the expesnsive ones come from the same factory
and the cheap version(80-90)from another.

same watch comes in 2 versions

first open case back states
CHOPARD
MILLE MIGLIA GTXL
OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER

secind open case back states
CHOPARD MILLE MIGLIA GTXL

which is the correct one?

Seeing pics would make it easier, however are you talking about the chrono or the non-chrono version? The first comes only with closed case back AFAIK and the second obviously doesn't have a7750 movement, which is a chrono movement.

Chrono version:



I think the makers are twone maker installs a7750 movement, the other (H factory I think) installs a new Asian copy of valgranges a07.211.
Price range is more or less the same (300 to 400 usd).

Non chrono:
Excluding bad versions with non working chronos, you can get a nice build of the non chrono version, which has open case back, for less than 100 usd. Here's a pic of mine:




Or if you prefer you can have the more expensive version with a07.111 valgranges copy movement.
BTW in this model open case back is correct only for black face, white face should be closed.

does it use a different dial?or they have access to the same dial?

There are 2 best versions of the GT XL... Non Chrono and Chrono

The best Chrono version is the A07.211 version

The best non chrono is the A7750 version

The biggest give away with the 7750 version isnt so much the engarving as year depending they can vary...

The gen has an Valgranges 07.211 movement...this is basically a large 7750..it was designed to fit or look better in larger sized watches...

So the a7750 version being smaller has a slightly different look and also sits inside a large movement ring...so when you look in the display back...if you will see the difference in size... so to worry too much about engraving is pretty lost given the different movement...and anyone who knows enough about these models would spot that probably easier than they would the bearing weight engraving...

The dial on these are pretty good...they do have flaws such as marker thickness and type position against DW and cyclops both AR and location plus mag...however again anyone that would spot the movement either size or engravings would spot the rep on your wrist anyway

Overall these are great reps... I wouldnt get too hung up on the movement details.... if you are that concerned then there are other details to be more concerned with... when its on your wrist..

I got also GTXL with white dial and A21J and it works perfect. Will eventauly sell them because of Omegas but A21J is OK IMHO
