Bought a Rolex Sub watch after reading reviews online. Watch arrived. All ok so far. Then watch started misting up inside the glass and the bracelet broke.

They gave me a dodgy address in Russia to return it, to enable me to get an exchange. Several days later. website vanishes and phones dead, Lesson learnt. down 300 euros. But if they re appear. Just a heads up. Call center is was in USA

Even if they re-appear as supermegawatchcn, we (and anybody else for that matted) shouldn't care. They are not in the TD list, they are not worth even visiting. Sorry for your loss. Think on the bright side, it could have been much more expensive.

Site looked very slick and had a few years history behind it. Plenty of positive feedback and reviews. The sale went through very professionally. I was given updates and calls and tracking info all the way until i got the watch. Prices again great. But i must have bought at the time they was gonna pack it all in. Lesson learnt.

Well, many of us have been taken by a scam site before arriving here. Puretime is one of the largest dealers trusted on our site. Read up on the watch you purchased so you are familiar with the movement, some earlier ones had issues which appear to be fixed, but it's still a good idea to be aware of them. Enjoy it!

How do people come across these scam sites?

In fairness to the OP, if you have no idea about this site and everything that comes along with being a member here you will not know.

I looked at many sites that were probably either just scams or flat out cheap over priced $20 watches. I never attempted to order from any of them as I looked though their polished websites and in depth pictures of the watches that they promise to send to you and many positive reviews about each of their products. Only with the constant searching did I stumble upon this place, join and saved myself from losing money and being scammed.

Misting up means there is water/moisture inside. If you open the caseback and unscrew the crown. Then place the watch inside a bowl of rice for a few hours that will draw and absorb the water out.

Its gone now into infinity. Never to be seen again. I was chuffed to bits when i got it. Looked great. Didnt get pics. Glad i find this forum though it got a huge wealth of info on watches.

My Rep Rolex arrived on Friday. Put it next to my father inlaws to compare and you cant tell any difference. Well pleased.

Believe it or not, those shady sites were around when I "stumbled" onto rwi, rwg, etc early 2000's
