MBW Group Buy from TTK!

TTK is organising a group buy of the mythical MBWs. Currently, he's offering any of the vintage Rolexes (1680, 1665, etc) for $350 each.

No, I'm not involved, and no, I'm not making anything from it, but as I recently got some of these legendary replicas, I think it'd be a shame for others to miss out because they're on the wrong Forum.

Is anyone here interested? Sure, there are conditions at that price (no guarantees through customs, for instance) but it's still the lowest price these have ever been offered on the forums.

ps. Don't PM me about it, I'm really not involved.

I would like to have a new 1665 Great White, and would gladly place $ 350 cash into the hands of the seller at the same time he placed the watch in mine. I guess I will never have one... well, unless I could buy it from Klink.

Thats the problem, you send money first and maybe get watch muuuuuuuuuch later if you get it. If it was Andrew, Josh, WBK, or any of the other TRUSTED sellers then of course, but when your dealing with sending funds to Cambodia or whatever (LOL) with hopes by maybe next year it'll show up I say NOWAY.

Lets not forget a guy named Luckyy did this same thing, he was getting everyone MBWs but then Luckyy disappears and so did all the funds, guess how many got their MBWs??

In fairness I seriously doubt TTK is out to scam anybody. He will show a receipt of postage and a picture of the watches before they are sent. There are one or two other dealers who offer no customs guarantee either.

I didn't say he was. What I'm saying is why the F would anyone send that much to someone with no customer service and no gurantees. I know guys that are still waiting on their noobmariner that was shipped months ago. The Subs that most of our dealers have here are pretty darn good infact there almost perfect but no rep is really perfect even if its a MBW or a BMW. Save yourself the grief and get a good SUB from one of the trusted dealers. I would never buy from anyone who doesn't gurantee delivery let alone repsond to questions.

MBW means Maria Best Watch... and most consider a totally different plane of rep... and those who don't haven't held one in their hands... it accepts gen parts and can be the basis of an awesome Franken watch...

In short, they are beautiful replicas that, if you have the means, I highly recommend....

the problem with MBW watches for me is that they seem to only rep the high end watches as far as aftermarket value.... I mean, they are rare watches that aren't normally in circulation... are there any "mainstream" MBW's?

Depends what you mean by in normal criculation (price or availability) The AP offshore chrono is easily obtainable if you have the 20k entrance fee.

my point exactly... I mean, I think it has been shown that people would pay $350 for a current gen Sub that was correct in case and the rest, and that could accept gen parts.....

$20k watches are rarely seen except in print.... I play soccer with some guys who break out the high end stuff to show off to each other.... one of them has an AP chrono...
