Maybe a silly question...

Hi all,

I just bought an asian 111H for my brother.
As you know, the plate on the back is glued, as well as the logo "oficcine panerai".

Is possible to find a plate like the one on the "swiss" 6497, with the engraved rotor, and fix it on my watch?

Thank you.

Sorry, I mean with the engraved logo, not rotor.
I do not know the terminology well, but what I am asking for is the part (plate?) over the mechanism.

Thanks

Ok. So you mean the rotor is not engraved. Finding just the rotor cover alone is not easy. Try contacting davisen or however it's spelled. He is in the dealer section. Might be able to help you with that.

Yes, a Swiss 6497 would definitely fit into your watch.

Also, I think you'll pay far more than $100 for a Panerai decorated Swiss 6497. I just bought a completely undecorated Swiss 6497 from ofrei.com for $130. I would expect to pay *at least* $150 for an H series style Swiss 6497.

Thank you hooligan!

So, sending the watch back to Ruby and trading with a "swiss" one, I think would be the cheapest solution...

Probably, yes. It's certainly the cheapest if Ruby is willing to give you full credit for the first watch...
