I don’t know if this is common with MR. I bought a couple of watches from this company which appears as a trusted dealer on the site. Four months later, the watches haven’t arrived. They still have not concluded their investigation although they presume the watches have been seized. I asked them to resend and they said that if the same thing happened I wouldn’t get a refund nor would another parcel be sent. So I asked for a refund. They then said they don’t offer refunds in a situation like this. I am relying on their postal department to get this to me and I’ve paid postage for the privilege. It seems a bit harsh that I am taking all the risk as I have no way of knowing whether or how the items are be packaged described and sent. I’m I being unreasonable? Is this normal?

Moved to proper section.

You have to give a bit more detailed information than that. When did they send, what does tracking say, how did anyone come to the assumption they have been seized, what did Marvelous offer/advise to do, what is the situation now?

If there is not an official notification of custom seizure, anything the TD can offer is out of good will (if custom seizure replacement is in their policy in the first place) so if this is the case your expectations are unreasonable. You are expecting them to ship a second parcel and if that gets seized lost again, a third one out of their pocket. That is very unreasonable.

@Falky It would help if you confirmed the contact details you're using for Marv.

I've used him numerous times without any issue, so he can certainly be trusted. But as far as I'm aware, Marv doesn't offer the "free replacement" policy that other TDs provide.

It seems a bit harsh that I am taking all the risk as I have no way of knowing whether or how the items are be packaged described and sent. I’m I being unreasonable? Is this normal?

Well, the items we deal in are illegal counterfeit goods, so there's always going to be a risk. Look at the latest raids of rep stores by the authorities in China. These guys risk their livelihood and freedom every day working in the industry. The most we ever risk is being out of pocket by a couple of hundred quid.

There are many sellers offering an insurance for lower prices and taking the same risks... Last year, Biguan, a seller from r/1688time, was raided but she made the job until the last moment.
