Mario Paci - which leather?

Guys, anyone have an opinion/experience with Mario Paci leather?

Considering either the PAV98 (black) or their Water Resistant Calf Leather (black) ....which is softer/nicer leather smell etc.. Calf is $30 cheaper.

I have a 117M and cant make up my mind if I should have the white stitching on the strap or black matching?
