Are these historically linked with Panerai, made by Panerai or just impersonators?

That is a rep of the RXW MM20. The RXW MM20 was made by Ken Trading in Japan, it’s a very close homage to the original MARINA MILITARE, which translates to Navy in Italian. The original MARINA MILITARE was made by Panerai / Rolex in 1938. Panerai owns the trademark for a lot of the style aspects of this watch and the RXW is no longer produced and originals sell for almost double what they originally cost. It's a cool watch
