I have long since appreciated Marathon Automatics. For a while now I have noticed a lot of reps popping up on ebay, etc. Unfortunately they are being hawked by unscrupulous sellers as gen.
Has anyone ever seen a Marathon for sale via TDs, or??
I haven't even seen the brand discussed on rwi.
Any thoughts?

I've never heard of this brand period. You haven't seen it discussed here for the same reason a multitude of other lesser watch brands are not discussed here: No factory will invest in the tooling to make a decent imitation of one since it won't sell well, because the gen doesn't cost enough or is not well known enough.

I've always liked marathon watches but never got around to buying one as they seem a little on the chunky side. Seen them around in the $500 range and can't imagine why any factory would want to waste their time repping them in large quantities.

I've owned a few of these. Well built watches with nice wrist presence.
Not very expensive so would try and pick up a used genuine.
Not likey to be a big demand for this brand so can't doubt you will find any high quality reps for this model

Good watches, tritium tubes and swiss auto movements. But seeing as you can get one for $350-$500 there is no market for a rep. Would love to see some reps of Bremont or RGM.

Nice enough watches, just buy gen. It is like asking for a rep Steinhart....

I have both a CSAR and a JSAR both chunky big watches - the CSAR goes for around 3.500$ - but have never seen a rep. The JSAR is the version with quarts think it was around 300$ - but that is 5 years ago.
I think they do have some really good looking watches, and the CSAR with tritium tubes is absolutely one of my favorites.
