Making strap for my PAM's....

Guys I've seen some GREAT looking selfmake straps on here.
I recently gave it a shot myself.

The question I have for all you strap makers and want to be strap makers is:
Are the straps with stitching along the edge done with a machine?
Take a look at a strap that came with one of my watches.

Any thoughts and ideas how to get that look without a machine?

rep staps are done by machine but the hand made straps are stitched by hand

Hand stitched straps are holed with a very sharp awl in a press and stitched like so.....

As said above. Get stitch hole marking tool and hand awl to dig up holes similar to the machined straps. Usually you won't get them as close, since machined thread is usually a lot thinner also.
