Hi all,
Reading a few documentation regarding grease of the mainspring barrel, I see that 'molybdenum disulphide in a mineral oil' is generally desirable grease. Looking at say, the ETA 7750 documentation, it recommends Kluber P125, and I have seen a few other suggestions on these forums.
My question is if Molykote DX paste is a viable substitute? Has anyone tried? Based on the description and definition of Molykote, it seems to fit the bill:
http://www.dowcorning.com/applications/search/default.aspx?R=11354EN
"Molykote® DX Paste is a grease-paste that reduces friction in low speed, high load applications by delivering a combination of white solid lubricants with a mineral oil carrier fluid to the required point of lubrication."
Any insights will be helpful, thanks!
