Mailing issue resolved with Elliot

Anyone have experience with Andiot sending out a RL’d watch?

I RL’d a watch within minutes of QC and woke up this morning to a tracking number.

He asked me to send it straight back - it’s a RM special delivery from UK stock. Shall I refuse the item and have it returned to sender?

According to the linked returns terms and conditions from our chat, the shipping cost will be mine - For a product I didn’t want sent out!

What’s my recourse here?

Talk to him. If he made a mistake I'm sure he'll do it right. Ask him all your questions and find a solution with him. Be reasonable and calm. Issues can drag a bit, you just have to be patient and not loose your cool.

Yeah that’s fair. Andiots trusted and I’ve had previous orders.

My real concern was whether to take receipt of the item, if anyone here had any experience doing so or refuse it and let RM handle the return.

But if you refuse the item it should be simply returned to sender by the courier, without costs. Or at least that's how it works here.

Talk to the guy and even if you feel you are in your good right, stay polite.

Most probably Elliot will reimburse the shipping back as it’s his mistake. That said, uk to uk delivery is just a few pounds so at worst it’s just a small loss.

Once a TD sent me the wrong watch. Despite that I proposed to pay the shipping return myself.

Mistakes can happen. I wouldn't refuse it just in case it doesn't go back to him for whatever reason. Much better to take it and then resend it with RM. 1st class tracked small parcel is only a fiver and i'm sure he'll probably reimburse or give you credit for your next purchase.

For UK stock, everyone wants to have it quick asap, my guy in uk did qc and pack and send with mistake, I even told him after I approve that, as I said to u, send it back to us keep it brand new we cover the cost its just couple of pounds I will cover that mistake, Not a big deal, we will do another qc for the UK stock, sorry for the delay of your order, EVEN for USA shipping I will cover that mistake, leave alone the UK to UK issue.

To confirm, item returned and postage paid by Andiot.

I had requested this thread deleted not long after posting it citing the reason “Patience is required in the rep game” and how I didn’t want this to come across as a bad marker on Elliot/Andiot.

The threads still here hours later so here we are..

Sorry for the big fuss, as I said, knowing how Royal Mail special delivery works whether it was worth refusing. In the meantime I spoke further to Andiot and here we are.
