The main difference is that due to the rep having an A7750 chrono movement, this will affect things like the date wheel, thickness of the case and lugs, as well as the spacing between the subdials. Overall the materials look similar but feel different and I’ll compare everything below:

Cases: The cases on both the gen and rep are made from carbon composite, titanium, and stainless steel. The gen has a better textured carbon complotiste and the titanium on the crown and pushers feels more smooth and better shaped.

The rep is about 1.5-2mm thicker and the lugs are significantly thicker and longer.

Straps: the blue fabric strap on the gen is very soft and premium in feel. The rep is nice but feels rough and less plush. The color is also different

Lume: There is a clear difference in the lume when looking at the bezel. The gen has a 3D effect amount of lume applied on the bezel, whereas on the rep it’s very flat

Bezel action: the rep feels kind of cheap in this department. The bezel feels looser and with more play, and like there are less total clicks. The clocks are feel like they’re “bigger” than the gen.

Overall this is an awesome watch in both gen and rep form. The gen costs $5300 while the rep is $550. I think that on the wrist you get to experience the Tudor FXD Red Bull chrono at about 80% for just 10% of the price. The biggest issue is that the 7750 movement is just thick and thus you get a different case size and subdials

If I were to try out this rep before buying the gen, I think I’d get a really good feel for what the gen is like and the experience on the wrist is white similar. Will I accidentally put the gen in the box to ship out when I inevitably sell the rep? I don’t think so, but it is still a really fun watch and M+F has done a great job with it.

Score: 80/100

Thanks for the write-up! REP does look good but that date window can't be unseen and makes the text look all out of proportion.

But, yeah, 80% of the GEN for 10% the price - I can see that (y)

I still don’t understand why after all these years they are using 7750’s in everything. They are big fat ass movements that kill the thickness of the watch. I remember years ago when they cloned a 4130 I thought finally they have a new base movement to work with. Maybe add a date complication and different configuration and they could use it in many different watches to achieve a slim case. The FP1185 is also a popular movement used by many brands they could clone but don’t..
