Loose wire loop fixes

Hey all. I’ve had my 292 for a little bit now and and from time to time I find the wire loops near coming out. Only one has little to no play while the rest wiggle a lot.

Could it just be since everything was heavily used before me that some of the interior ceramic was damaged, leaving more room than before?

I bought a new set of loops the other day. Bent them to almost slide right in and used quite a bit of force to set them. Is that normal? I know these loops are know to be a pita.

So overall, I’m wondering if there’s a way to fix them being loose or is it correct now that I have then more pressure while inserted? Just don’t want to cause any damage.

Thanks!

Hard to visualize your situation. I don't expect to bend brand new lug wires, that's highly unusual.

Did you buy the new ones from that Dallas Tx based company selling on EBay? I bought a set that needed bending too. Their replacements aren’t the best and don’t fit in that snug.

The ebay account is wholesaleoutlet990. They have some good stuff and hard to find machined pieces, but the bars I bought from them were way off. Not sure if they’re the same as Ewatch, but they sell very similar products so maybe.

Good to know. I was about to buy some screws and tubes off of them the other day and just got distracted as I was about to checkout.
