So I haven't worn a Panerai in abot 8 years, but I'd like to pick up a 44mm or 42mm model. What models would you recommend? I used to have a nice noob, but I don't know who makes good one these days...

Most of pams over ~220$ are great, depents on your taste. Choose what you like more to be more quick.
There is one 1312 in sales that i really like ;)

There are more choices in 44mm compared to 42mm. VSF and XF are currently the popular factories (although technically they are sister companies previously known as KW / V6F). Noob only has the dependable PAM111 V4 and the PAM005 (I think). H-factory is no more. Good luck!

I had just about lost interest in my Pam as I am wearing smaller watches these days but thought I'd wear it today and I have fallen back in love with it.

These would have to be one of the best value Reps at the moment when compared with so many other Reps now costing around $500 and still with faults and tells.

This one is the trusty 111 Noob V3/4.

There was a recent release with a couple of versions with the Logo so it would be worth looking into those.

That would probably be the PAM005, still being made by Noob and a recent release by XF.

Mate I looked it up and the one I was thinking of was the 773 from XF.

I may even order one myself as I love the clean looks of the 000 / 773 dials and love the Logo, I had ordered the 000 but wasn't happy with the QC pics.

The PAM773 has key tells on the dial (sausage instead of painted) and crystal (looks like typical PAM111 crystal which is not like the crystal on the gen PAM773).

Is something like this quite accurate to the real thing

No, the lugs on that version are fat, totally wrong for a PAM1XXX series.

Okay! Which model would you recommend then?
Thanks!

438 & 688 are my current favorites, but I'm partial to GMT watches. I like these PAM 12 hour ones because they have a nice clean look without the need for a 24 hour scale, and when you're not traveling the GMT hand can hide behind the hour hand.

438 is 44mm black ceramic w/black dial, 688 is 42mm polished steel with a sunburst blue dial

Love the blue dial 688. How accurate is it to the genuine model?
