I love the way the Panerais look, but just can't afford to spend that kind of money right now. Seem likes you guys got a great community on this forum, I'm looking forward to taking part in it. What the best rep out there? And the best dealer out there? I see a lot of threads about DSN, whats the best rep that he makes?

TIA

Hello, I LOVE your user name! Pretty much says everything it needs to!!
Welcome also. The very best suggestion that I can make is go through and read the incredible reviews that are available to you here.
Next, after reading the reviews you will be able to identify those who are the Pam experts. There are several of them, but two of my close friends come to mind. LOS and CC are both replica owners and have multiple genuine pams. They have owned and or built every replica Pam out there. They know what is required to get as close as possible without spending $5k.
Dont jump in to anything, and dont take any one persons opinion as gospel (unless its one of the names above). What is perfectly acceptable to some, is not even close for others.
And my best advice... Start with a GOOD one. Do not think that getting a "starter replica" is the right way to go. You will get it, be happy for a short period of time, identify all the faults and then give it away when you move on to something better. Trust me when I say, THOUSANDS of dollars can be spent doing this...
Good luck, and keep us posted!

I'm with CBR. I started my rep mania with a DSN 112 and still love it and wear it regularly. There are many far cheaper ones than his, but it just sorta exudes quality--for a rep! My advice? Buy the most expensive one you can afford.

I recommend you buy your first Pam rep from DSN. There are perhaps a gazillion people here on RWI that wish they had done just that.

If you decide that this whole rep thing is not for you, then you can sell it on the used forum and get most of your investment back.

The only downside is that once you see the DSN you may expect all Pam reps to be as good. Start with a handwind model. I like the 177H but the 111 is flashier.

So if I go with the DSN upgraded 111H, what mods would I have to add to make it even closer to gen?

Thanks

I was looking at some of Vacuums threads, should I just have him build me a 111H and would that be better than the watch from DSN..man I feel like I'm in over my head..

If he is the best why is he no longer a trusted seller here?

Go with one of our trusted dealers. Lower prices and great service
