Looking for Ti PAM089...

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a good PAM089 Titanium. Unfortunately DSN is all out of them until February, and I missed a really good one in the members sales area just a few days ago. :/

Would this be a good rep:

The best PAM89 would be from the ultimate cartels which are no longer available together with the PAM88 ultimate.

I myself was trying to source for 1 via the cartels & approved RWI dealers but to no avail. Im not sure how good is this thou, you might wana check with them if its still available as from what i heard, most of the older GMT models are no longer in production.

DSN would be your next best option if you wish to get a decent 1, or wait awhile and see if any pre-owned ones comes up for sale.

I had that one for a while... All of the Pams from that era with the under-dial cyclops suffered the same issue... Crappy cyclops that had a huge "seam" around it's margin. Yes, the watch has other accuracy to Gen problems, but the cyclops just screams out "hey, something amiss here"!
I did some work on mine, new hands, re-applied the cyclops and it got better... Still left a lot to be desired.
I'd love to see an H-Factory take on this model.

You looking for gen or rep?
I agree with Ash, unless you get from the cartel. The others have some obvious flaws.
One of them would be the hour hand having too big a surface lume. Or the GMT arrow is the wrong size, Beveled date window... etc..

Damn...I missed the one up for sale in here. A Gunny strap and all!
But of course not very nice reading that the once currently out there are far from flawless.
But I do love the watch...and waiting years for a better rep...no way! The hunt continues.

Time to buy....
I have basically put the thoughts of a 089 aside and I'm now looking for a 088 instead. Contacted Davidsen, but he was all out of 088 and 088's.
It's of course no problem to find a 088 with basically any of the trusted dealers, but are there different versions? Anybody who can give me any advise?
What would be good modds/improvements on this watch?
Any suggestions are appreciated!
