Looking for thought and opinions on the Noob H Pam 183 Radiomir

Hey everyone, up until now, I've only had eyes for Luminor models, but the Radiomir has started speaking to me lately. I particularly like the fact that it seems to work better in dressier situations than the chunkier Lumi.

So, I want to try the Radi look out, but I don't want to drop too much money in it either. For that reason, I've zeroed in on the Noob H Pam 183. It's in the $160 range and it's a first class medium range rep.

However I've read about handwind Radis having crown stripping issues and I'm not sure it it applies to this model, as well.

Basically, if anyone out there has feedback on this model, or competing suggestions (keeping in mind budget) it would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure if lack of response is because this particular rep isn't popular here. If it isn't, I'd love to hear why!

I have an even cheapier version that I got m2m, the 183 is a good looker and I bet you'll love the cushion case :)
Don't know about any issues, mine works flawlessly, plus Asian 6497 movement is almost trouble free AFAIK.
Here's mine on the rep asso strap:

Glad to see a thread on the 183, there doesn't seem to be much love for it, don't know why........I love the look, here is one I did for a friend. I had forgotten to post the pictures until I saw this thread, after modding a true super rep..

Just gorgeous, man. Nice work, it's such an elegant piece, I can't believe I've only just started really appreciating them.

Hi Ciccio
If you are looking for quality/price ratio, Noob is the best option
One of the best quality/price ratio in the market
Just bear in mind Low beat and non Swan Neck movement (this last doesn't affect working of movement, I answer you before your question)

If you like this watch and have a limited budget Noob H is a very good option

Good luck
ALE

Thanks Ale, your guide was instrumental in me focusing on this particular model. My subsequent research, though, found some postings which refer to a crown stripping issue. But those posts weren't specific enough, so I wasn't sure if it referred to the noob h.

I've just got this watch a two days ago. Looks so gorgeous. But the lugs are a different story. I changed the straps and can't figure out how to screw the lugs back properly. It just keeps coming off after 30mins of wearing it. I've done some searches and apparently this is a pretty common issue.

One thing to take note of as I feel it makes the watch totally useless out of the box if the strap keeps coming off.

There are solutions like loctite and etc, but I'm one who doesn't like modding my watches. Hence I would advise to read up about the lugs before purchasing.

Then again it could be that I simply do not know how to screw the lugs in properly.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm having having trouble finding threads referring to this problem - perhaps I'm not using the proper search terms.

Buy a set of Radiomir screws from Panatime, they are high grade and have a rubber o-ring installed to stop unscrewing.

@Marlin: amazing 183 there, beautiful watch! What were the mods you have done?

Thanks for this tip, I have a m2m 183 coming my way with a missing lug screw and my pana time order should take care of that problem :)
