I'm almost to the point where I've succumb to the Pam phenom. The first version I started to seriously consider is the Submersible but engraved marks on the bezel looks so terrible on every one I've seen so far, I just can't go for it. I did find this and figured I'd use it as my jumping point to starting the Pam adventure.

Here's what I found:

No details are available on the page, but I am happy to have a solid back on it so I don't have to worry about what the movement looks like, and one less element to "get right."

From what I can tell comparing it to a gen photo, it looks pretty decent. But, I'm new to the Pams so what do I know. I'm assuming a lume job would be in order.

Hi ThinkBachs

I looked at the Pam's a few weeks ago, and I found two modders DSN here and Sead (supermirrors) over on Repgeek.

Coldi said sead was pretty good, and I have ordered his 111h. But I may regret the crystal back - maybe should have gone with a closed back like you are looking at. I have a friend who has a gen PAM 88 GMT - its a lovely watch but not as heavy as I expected and the bigger size looked great on my wrist (7.5").

Sead installs a much better AR crystal on his watches, this was always my sticking point with the usual dealers - its either blue/purple or it has no AR on it. I understand the gens have a slight yellow/orange hue but it is only very slight. Their crystals are very clean and clear though.

I'll post pics here when my sead 111h arrives - shouldn't be long now. :)

...I understand the gens have a slight yellow/orange hue but it is only very slight...

The color of the AR depends on the year/Series of the watch. My gen H series PAM000 has a blue-ish AR. It is VERY subtle, however. Closer to no AR than to the type of double AR coatings used by Omega and Breitling...
