Hey guys, new guy here. I'm looking at buying a Vintage 5513 No Date Sub from trevor watch with an Asian ETA 2836 movement. A friend of mind bought this and was given the ok on it by a jewler. I was curious if anyone has any experience with this particular watch, for the price of $118 it seems like a steal, should I pull the trigger on this?

Here is the link to the watch in question: http://v.yupoo.com/photos/trevorwatch/albums/8087241/

I bought a 1680 with the same movement from trevor. No movement issues totally reliable! Great watch to age or mod!

I like his 5513, killer price!

Hopefully your friend didn't walk into a jeweler with a rep though!

It's not perfect, or a super-rep by any means, but it's a great watch for 118. I wouldn't buy the a2836 though, it ticks at 28,800 bph, the gen is 19,800 bph, the cheaper a2813 is much closer at 21,600 bph. So save a little cash and be closer to gen, that's rarely how it goes! If you want more info on these vintage pieces, check out this section https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php/124-Vintage-Watches all sorts of info on aging and making these vintage watches even better.

Before you order or pay, you should email the TD for availability. Some of these stop being produced or just get completely discontinued, and the TDs don't keep stock of every watch. I'm actually planning on getting the Tudor version of this watch, hard to resist these cool watches at the price haha!
