Hi guys, can anyone make any recommendations where I can get a decent Pam195 rep in PVD with the OP dial? I can't spend $100's so I think DSN is out...which leaves the regular dealers.

Anyone got any suggestions? Is it unrealistic to want to spend <$150 ?

thanks

Russ

Russ, the problem you run into with any watch in that price range is that the "PVD" coating on those watches is MILES away from being accurate. Honestly, you'll want to get a DSN case, at least. The shiny black cases of the "normal" rep PVD PAMs is a dead giveaway...

hooligan, thanks for the reply...

I'm so new to this Pam rep game that it's all a bit of a challenge trying to sort out what's good and what's not ;-)

Advice from you guys is always appreciated.

I can see I can go the cheap, but definitely NOT close to the gen route, or the more expensive, part-custom route with DSN etc...

I was hoping there'd be a middle-ground...I'm guessing maybe there isn't though.

Couldn't agree more on the PVD issue; I gave mine away (a Blackseal) to my sister. It was sooooo dead giveaway and a cheap looking PVD coat at that.

Here's the skinny on the 195 --

DSN's A6497 195 is $330.
Pros: Best PVD available that isn't from a 3rd party coater, better shape of the logo

Cons: Pricier, logo is too big

"Standard" rep 195 from a non-trusted dealer is $328.
Pros: Logo is the correct size

Cons: Crappy PVD, incorrect logo shape
