hi there,
i'm looking for a good replica of the Omega Speedmaster 9300 (311.30.44.51.01.002), in this picture the one on the left:

Do you know any good replica?
The closest thing I found is this item here: http://www.intime.co/omega/2008-spe...ograph-best-edition-on-ss-bracelet-a9300.html

Thanks a lot for any suggestion

So one thing I've noticed on Speedmaster reps that aren't the moonwatch (i.e. The ones with the manual hand wind) is that the reps are pretty expensive and there are a few subtle flaws. I know from experience because I have a rep of the Speedmaster 57 (the watch to the right in your picture above). I looked at the rep at the link you posted and it seems that that the price point is exactly the same and the small flaws are still evident. 6 and 9 markers are slightly mis-aligned and the left Lume marker the the left of the 12 o'clock marker is also mis aligned. The 6 marker tends to lean closer to the "Swiss."
The 3 o'clock sub dial is also most likely faux and not functioning. One thing you could do is get a watchsmith to freeze both the hands of the subdial at 12. Probably the biggest flaw is a sunken date wheel although the ones in the photos in your link don't look terrible. However the font is too thin as compared to the Gen.

IMO it's a great rep and is a fantastic looking watch if you are willing to look past the flaws. Granted these watches retail at $9,000 (at least the 57 model does) and you're paying $498 for a replica.
I actually compared my rep to the gen in a boutique and when you're casually looking at it the similarity is pretty good. You wouldn't be able to tell the flaws if it was on someone's wrist. It's only under close and careful observation that you would notice the subtle flaws.
Some users in this forum might be able to modify the hour markers so they are in proper alignment to help reduce the visible flaws.

I'm guessing not many people buy these reps so there hasn't been much of a demand to make newer and more improved versions of the 9300 reps.

But all of my knowledge on speedmaster watches pales in comparison to the knowledge in this thread. If you're looking for a good speedy, check it outttt....

Also I think a couple of the later posts talk about the Speedmaster that you were interested in. Some major dial issues if that turns out to be the same model. Cheers

Thanks for your replies, after what I read I think my eye can be easily satisfied by this replicas
Another question: do you know any trusted dealer who sells good speedmaster reps with quartz movement? I know you are going to puke, but I prefer quartz 'cause often I don't use a watch for at least a couple of days and so I have to recharge and adjust date and time, and if they look good and are less expensive... why not?

Ok, I'll look for it.
I saw in antoher post that you talked about Trusty Time, but it's not a trusted dealer, have you ever bought from them?

If you're looking for a Quartz Moonwatch 9300 TS Watch have a pretty good one.
I have this model and I think for the price it's a brilliant little watch

I would always do the automatic over the quartz but that is me. Get a nice big watch winder that will hold 4-8 watches and your auto's will be kept wound and close to the right time if you have that many you go between (I do :) )

i know, that solves the winding problem but not the faux subdials :(
i would prefer a watch where the hour hand in the subdial at 3 in fixed at 12, so i can measure 1 hour with the chronograph.
the fact that in some models hours and minutes hands turn together or that the hour hand works like a 24 hours indicator are big and obvious clues that the watch is a fake, i think much more than the distance of the subdials or that the date wheel is too much recessed.

thank you for the advice, it's an interesting watch, the only issue i see is the mineral crystal for the front glass.
in the meantime ryan answered my questions about this model

http://www.intime.co/omega/2008-spe...ograph-best-edition-on-ss-bracelet-a9300.html

and it has only one issue: the subdial at 3 does not work as the gen, minutes and hours hands move together as one.

i really like these watches, i don't know what to do :(

Are the hours and minutes hands moving together only when you start chronos? Or they are continuously running?
Did anyone manage to freeze them at 12'?

I froze mine at 12 I think it looks much better.
I Also painted the hour markers so they look as though they are flat printed and replaced the crystal with a domed plexi.

Pulled the trigger on a vintage style '57, the same one George Clooney wears. I got a pretty good whole sale price from WatchStation $262. I received the QC images today. I was impressed by how nice it looks, despite knowing that the 3:00 dial has a faux hand. Another QC issue I noticed after the fact, was that the Tachymeter Base print seems a bit faded. I didn't think much of it, and approved the pictures. Does anyone know of an effective method for making the print appear darker? I would like the print to be a nice dark black.

If there isn't a way of doing this easily and cheaply, I guess the faded look will just have to do... which I suppose will add to it's charm of being a vintage style peice.

I can't find it now but I read a post some while back about going over the print with a black felt tip pen then whipping the access away with alcohol I think.
Be sure to post some pics when your watch arrives, the 57 is a gorgeous watch

Thank you BigBoo. I will most definitely post pictures. What is a good site for hosting pictures from? I'm very new here.

The watch just shipped today, but hasn't exported yet. Very excited to receive it .
