Hi Everyone,

I'm really on the market to buy a Panerai 47mm.
Not really decided on the model, but i really want one "traditional", with the tansuede band, black dial, etc...
I was looking on the web but didn't find something that was nicely finished, pretty poor replicas.
I saw a member that was selling this PAM422 few months ago and it's just the perfect style for me and finish looks awesome !

Does anyone has one for sale (preferably in Europe) or do you know where i could grab one of this kind ?

Thanks really much :)

You HAVE to get the PAM 116710 by R Factory...nvm.

Buddy, word of advice. Take the time to read through this Panerai sub-forum...all the information you need is here. New members who jump in with their first post asking everyone to tell them what to buy and how to buy it usually get a free "tanning" we'll say.

Look at the stickies in this thread and you'll find all the info you need...then read the popular threads here for the more current info on PAM releases and quality.

Welcome to RWI...just remember this isnt Reddit.

Hi,

Thanks for those advices.
Actually i've been reading pretty much for a week and read few reviews of the Panerai with building details of different factories, etc...
That is certainly time consuming and impressive ! Thanks toi the one who take time to do all, this :)

The bad side is that i also checked the Panerai Guide (god it's even more impressive, it's like à 500 pages book XD) but each the links to the watches shown are dead, as it was written long time ago.
And i don"t hide theft that it would be nice and safer to buy it from a member that its base in Europe.

I'm open to any other advices you might have for me :)

Gotcha, well I give you props for doing some of your due diligence here. The advice really comes down to what kind of PAM youre looking for and which factory has made a good rep of it. I would suggest going to the TD sites and sifting through the listings. The main makers are going to include (not limited to) VSF, XF, ZF and Noob. Each make very good reps but some do better at certain models than others. A search on this site will help you to determine that.

You can also look at the member sale listings here on RWI.

As far as straps, you can find a tan asso strap easily. Either from the TDs or from strap makers. I know Malio Straps makes a good asso strap...you can also look at Hirsch Heritage straps. If you really want to you can also order a genuine from Panerai's website.

Hope that helps you get started. A week is a solid start, but it will take you months to really build up the knowledge base to understand a lot of whats going on in this hobby.

Thanks again for those advice, will dig into that :)
For now, i'm willing for a PAM422 or PAM372, love those simple yet effective looks !
I saw with all the mods and tutos you're doing about it, i actually didn't know that there was a so huge community around all this !
Might have found a new passion :p

Sorry, but the update to the guide will most likely do away with links to the watches. The websites of the TDs change, the watches appear and disappear from the websites without warning, not all TDs have websites (and so would be unfair to those who don't) and TDs come and go. Since you've selected a few models already, focus your search on articles for those watches. You can go back to the PAM Guide when you have time to kill. :)

No I don't know that and it's not a practical question. Dealers only know what they personally can source. They don't know about other dealers. So asking non-dealers (even if they're staff) would not yield any useful information.

Ooooohhhh ok, sorry I'm newbie in the domain :)
So what should i do ? Send a mail to every trusted dealer to see if they have what i'd like and ask for pictures to check the finish on each ?
