Looking for 40mm Pam

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for 40mm Pam for my wife. I know a thread went around on this about 6-months ago but I could not find it nor do I remember who the dealer(s) of choice were. I saw this offer on Replica Hause and it looks crappy. It just reminded me to ask this question.

Additionally, Which PAM style/series would you get your wife in a 40mm?

I'll summarize what I know about the 40mm pams....

the 1st run of 050/051 were nice... reviews put them as the most accurate of the 40mms.
bracelets are somewhat rare... it would appear much like the 44mms... leather is the strap of choice (i'd need a bracelet... my wife wouldn't wear leather)
As far as I know... they are pretty much sold out from our "stocking" dealers and not being made anymore... have you tried one of the "searching" dealers?

Thanks! I'll keep looking, my wife saw one of her friends at a Prada event wearing a 40mm Pam and thought it looked cool so she is coming to her favorite dealer, "me" to get the best Pam 40mm.

Unfortunately, the factories stopped making 40mm Luminors and 42mm Radiomirs about two years ago. None of our dealers have any of these in stock. And yes, I know Jandrew have some listed on their websites, but those are out of date, and they haven't had any of these watches for months. Honestly, you probably only have two options-- wait until one comes on the market from a member (but expect a long wait-- the last one I saw was about 5 months ago, and it went for a premium) or head out into the wilds of ioffer. You'll probably find someone on ioffer who has them, but your guess is as good as mine as to the quality, price, whether you'll actually get a watch, etc. Sorry.

I'm sure you are correct. I just shortened the SS on a few of my Rollies and gave to her. She is tall and slender and I think they look good on her. She has more Gens than I do : ( so she can pull off anything. I think I'm going to take everyones advice from the Christmas threads and get her a Rolex Explorer I too. She has been noticing a lot of female Celebes wearing gentleman's luxury watches. For once she was encouraging a watch binge.

I have to go to Shenzen in November - maybe I will trip over one!

Well, the good news is that you can probably get a 40mm from ioffer:

The bad news is that you're buying from ioffer. There are some decent looking watches there, but they're all overpriced. There is some real crap there, as well, and that's also overpriced.

One thing you may want to try is to contact Jay and Angel over on Silix. They frequently get watches from different suppliers, so they may have a 40mm or two. Don't expect great quality, though.

The seller is a guy named Tonyxkf. He's not an approved dealer, but he's good and reliable. He handles mainly cheaper stuff. Looks like he's got a good selection of cheaper 40mm Luminors with lady's straps. I have no idea if he still has them in stock, but you may want to send him an email. And be sure and negotiate with him. He'll usually let those $100 watches go for about $80 (including shipping).

To echo seanf's info-- there are no more proper 40mm PAMs being produced with Asian 7750 movements, sapphire crystals, accurate dials, etc... HOWEVER, there are some really crappy 21J versions out there, that are pretty inaccurate as far as replicating a genuine model, but if it's for a lady who has no clue.. she might be perfectly happy with it. I have several 40mm PAMs with black dials, but my girlfriend wanted a white dial PAM, and she's perfectly happy with the horrible 21J version that I would never wear
