Looking at the Pam 222 Regatta

Started looking at these so-called modern PAMs

Joshua has a 222 that I like with the rep SS bracelet.. yummmy.

Couple of questions:

1. I also saw from a search that EL has a 222 'special order' some months ago. Are these the same watch?
2. How are the quality of both?
3. how close are they to the gens?

i remember when EL first put his out... big hub bub over a limited run that doesn't seem to be too limited.

I think right away that a few watches had to go right back to EL.

I purchased a PAM 222 (SS) back in September from Andrew, and have been very happy with it, looks great, feels great and keeps really good time. The quality of the build is really impressive, even if the engine is only an asian 21J. It gets/attracts more attention on the wrist than others. There was a thread before Christmas when the discussion was how close the 222 was to the Gen among other things. As far as i can remember the gen does not have the depressed date button on the side, but in all fairness who cares, the watch looks very close to me. For those with thinner wrists, the SS bracelet is perfect, I also purchased a leather deployment strap for it , which looks great too but does make my wrist look a bit puny :lol:

thx for the info. I already ordered this last sunday, hopefully I'll get it soon
