Look what I just made for my father

I got tired of my father wearing the same cheap $15 prologue watch every day.
Lately I have been trying to persuade him into buying a nice rep of a watch he likes. He loved my 111 when I showed it to him and now I have placed an order for the new 111J for him!

I also made a strap from an old briefcase. Because I know that he will be very dissappointed with the rep strap, since he tried my Heroic18 strap some weeks ago. Today we tried it on and sized it properly. I want his strap to have only 1 hole, so that it looks 100 % custom built.

Now he is wearing my 111H, until the 111J arrives. A PAM suits him better - right?

i recently bought my father a pam312 that originally came from robert (time4direct) via another forum member and replaced the rep rubber strap with a new never worn 24/24 brown with subtle black highlights seal skin strap with sewn in preV flat buckle from time connection i picked up very discounted somewhere along the way that would never fit me (i have no idea what the hell i was thing when i bought that strap)...

i showed him how the watch worked, he immediately put it on, and has worn it daily ever since....he used to be a strictly gen only guy and typically usually wears a gen cartier gmt roadster, gen rolex president that came minimally pimped from the factory when he bought it back in the 1980's for a "song" from a store going out of business, or a gen omega quartz seamaster plain jane he used as a beater but has since given it to me (i know...who even remembers the quartz seamasters much less owns or wears one...leave it to my dad...thats who...lol)

now all his gens are put up in his safe and he wears that pam 312 everywhere daily and has asked me to start looking for another pam rep for him...the number of people who stop him and admire the rep is amazing and all he tells them is its a gift from my son....not one person has ever asked if it was real....

although your dad wore his style of watch forever and my dad wore his choice of watches forever i think its pretty cool we both have our fathers now wearing pam reps....

the big difference is you make kick ass straps yourself to complete the watch and i used a "store bought" one..... i really wish i had the "mad skillz" to make nice custom straps like you do....i have many talents but creative leatherwork is not one of them....

your father is a very lucky man and is probably very proud to wear not only a nice watch but one thats held close to him via a strap handmade by his son specifically for him

Thanks! I will buy an edge slicker soon. I hate the plastic edge coated sides but maybe I can burn the sides without losing the vintage feeling.
