I know 2 people that have skunks as pets. They are a lot like cats and very friendly. Fur feels a little odd though.

Try hitting one with your car and carry that smell around with you for almost a week. I found out there is a huge difference in the smell of one that has been sprayed after several days or even hours and one that was fresh in your cars air filter.
