look at the distortion on this gen 127

Look at the lens distortion on this ebay sale, does it seem to have that break in the crystal we were all looking at on the reps a while back?

I always thought the crystal looking like that was bad. There was a huge thread about a 127 version with bad distortion. Here is another for sale on eB... no distortion. Maybe that crystal isnt original or Gen.

That's what I'm thinking, I remember that thread. This crystal maybe not Gen.....

It sure looks odd.

It's what I have been saying all along, even the gens have different crystals on them some have more distortion than others. The later models, the ones with higher series (1500+)numbers seem to have the crystals with the least amount of distortion.

This "gen" crystal seems really BAD

In a rep with this cristal, QC pics would be rejected !!

I doubt the cristal is really gen (watch seems gen)

If you look on eBay you'll see the picture of the back of the 127 there you will find it is a low series number E0XXX. These are all typical traits of the lower numbers 127s. And as of late I don't thing any of the rep 127 have reaches 4 digit numbers, last I notices they were around E0900 so a distortion on some crystals is normal.

But it seems everyone wants the zero distortion crystal, even if it is not accurate to the series number. :beatahorse:
