I have been strap shopping the last couple of weeks.... and I am still undecided on the tail situation on the strap...?!
At least on the thicker, more "vintage" straps, like Ammo, Egypt or #74 straps I kinda prefer a tail sticking out.

What do you prefer?
#1. Long tail? At least 1cm of tail sticking out of the keeper.
#2. Short tail? Just the tip sticking out?
#3 No tail at all? Tail is totally hidden behind the keepers?

Is there a certain way it's supposed to look like? i.e. Gentlemens Etiquette?
Or just personal preference?

Also I like straps best that fit on the 3rd hole. How about you?

To conclude: Lotsa tail, and the tightest hole possible!! Fine by me. :maty:

LOL! Love it!!!

In all seriousness, I think it depends on the strap. I like a lot of tail on most of my straps but it doesn't look right on others.
Tough to say but I lean towards longer watch straps.

you can also get a strap with 3 keepers, so when you wanna wear the tail long you just use 2 keepers and when you want it shorter you add the 3rd.

I think 1-1,5 cm more after the keepers is very appropriate.
Less would be a little ridiculous more would be unconfortable
Anyway the thicker the strap the longer the remaining tail
