+1....it'd help us ascertain if this new lot is better in terms of markers and omega alignment...

Sending PM with shipping question...

Could someone kindly assist a foolish but friendly newcomer?

Hi. I have contacted the goodly Mr Sead and he informs me that this watch is still available. Great!

He also said that usual PP rules apply. Erm help ... does this simply mean don't write anything stupidly revealing on forms and don't open disputes without communicating? Or is there more I should know? I would hate to cause problems for anyone through simple naivity.

Secondly. Does anyone know what an Asian Clone movement actually is? Are they reliable? Are they reasonably accurate? I love the pictures posted and think they look close to the gen but I know nothing about the engines!

Thirdly. Am I asking for problems by expecting safe and non controversial mailing to the UK? Customs etc.

Fourthly. Do you clever people think this watch is worth the money being asked. Please only answer this fairly ... I'm not wishing to offend the dealer here at all.

Finally. I expect it's really obvious that I'm a nervous newbie but please help me get off to the best possible start on my quest.

Thank you in advance. Rusty

ps. I have looked at other examples of similar watches but none seem even close to this one. Pity there isn't one with the two colour lume though.

I think you need to have a read of the forum mate and familiarise yourself with certain do's and dont's, otherwise you aint gonna get very far here mate. paypal..,,,research and you will find.....Is this watch worth the money? again do some more reading of the forum and you will get your answer soon enough. Uk customs is 99 percent of the time fine when it comes to shipping watches, it's very rare you will encouter a problem...again if this happens contact sead and he will see you right. Iv'e bought many times from sead and every time has been smooth sailing. As for the movement, check out the movement section and do a little reading bud. I guess what i'm saying is take a night and read through the important bits regarding newbie's, there is a wealth of info on here if you look

Thanks Mr Rooney. I certainly appreciate the advice and have been reading for the past few days. It is clear that Mr Sead is an honourable dealer and thank you for your comment about customs.

However my point about the movement is that I'm not sure which Clone movement it is because it isn't mentioned. I have searched around for Paypal rules but I'm not really finding much. I have read about some nightmare newbie who threatened the dealer which seems outrageous to me.

Compared to other Sea masters, this one does look the best so I'm sure it's probably worth the money. I was just hoping for some other opinions really.

Thank you for replying to me. I have learnt a little bit more. Regards Rusty

You are safe with clone movements mate, they are great and reliable. Movement is either 2824 or 2836 in this one and they are both equaly reliable so no worries here. Just avoid 21j (2813) and you will be fine.

For Paypal it's best to ask Sead directly what it means but I suppose it's what you said above, no notes and no disputes and if there is any problem first try to straight it out with the seller and then contact mods or admins for help if that doesn't work out. Also it probably means no payment as a gift as it's forbidden here. As mentioned above, just read a lot around the forum and educate yourself before you make your first purchase and you will know what you are buying. ;)

I'm not a lot into Omega (although I love them but there are few watches to add in collection before) but I think noob version of LMPO is the best one out there and it is worth the money you are paying. I got CrPO from Sead some time ago for a friend and we were both amazed with quality and look of it although it was a bit more expensive than this one.

Also Sead is a great guy to deal with, you won't find better dealer!

Hope that helps!

Thanks Mr Shelby. This was a very thorough reply and really helpful to me. I had pretty much decided to go with this dealer and I love the look of the watch. I'm sure Mr Sead will guide me through the payment process.

Your post has definitely helped me on my way ... so big thanks for that! I want to document my way through this in the hope it will be helpful to others. BTW ... tell me about watches you are looking at ... I find this stuff fascinating.

Any other kindly Misters out there (or Mrs Misters) with lovely jubbley advice?

No problem bud! I'm glad if I can help fellow member in trouble. ;)

When you go with Sead once you'll never want to change your dealer, he has great prices and great aftersales service and don't worry, he will explain you everything about payment.

Hehe it's addictive isn't it? :)

As for advices, this isn't really right place to comment on watches so better post new thread in Omega section or even better advice: read as much as you can around here and soon you won't have many questions to ask.

Good idea to say thanks to these guys Sead. They pointed me in the direction to deal with you. I hope you don't think I was doubting you because this was not the case. Just trying to do some homework.

This is an amazing watch. If you're on the fence- get it. For the price of 1:1 reps nowadays, this one is a steal. And use sead. I've gotten two of these from him and have had none of the QC alignment issues that others have had.
